Typically, Aegisoft Pro Services is called upon by clients to either manage or assist with the implementation of its testing tools. Below are two common scenarios:

1. FIX On-Boarding Project – Exchange Simulator and Client Simulator

• Tier 1 Sell Side Requirement: Adding new functionality to enable clients to send across FIX orders. Company needs help to define the interface and test against it.
• Solution: Aegisoft Pro’s work with the customer’s Business Analyst’s to define the specs and utilize Client Simulator to simulate client order flow, thereby testing the system.
• Result: The client has validated their new FIX interface without the need for external client/user interaction. Once validated, on-boarding for each of their customers thereafter is that much quicker.
• Aegisoft Role: Conducted analysis, defined test cases, testing and implementation using Client Simulator.

2. Full End-to-End OMS Testing Project – T3 Regression Test Suite

• Major Bulge Bracket Broker Requirement: Needs a comprehensive solution to test a very complicated OMS that spans several systems (i.e. FIX gateway in, client database, security master, matching engine, smart-order router, compliance engine) and is using real-time market data which is unpredictable. The data is prohibiting the client from reliably repeating test scenarios with known inputs.
• Solution: T3 regression test suite introduced repeatability of market data. So, all data inputs are known, controllable and repeatable.
• Result: A test harness that allowed the client to reliably compare changes to its Smart Order Routing.
• Aegisoft Role: We prepared the roadmap of various milestones, wrote the T3 player, test cases and performed integration testing.
