MANAGER OF SALES ENGINEERING
Location: New York, NY
The Role:
We are looking for a Sales Support Manager to interface with our current and prospective customers and to manage our team of Sales Support Engineers. You will work directly with the company’s highest levels of executive, marketing, sales and technical management as well as with many of its senior developers. Your knowledge of Front Office Trading for Equities, Futures, Options and/or Foreign Exchange will allow you to easily understand the client’s needs and requirements and to communicate the value of our products and services. Your role will include giving product demonstrations, demonstrating in depth knowledge of trading, execution management, and technology, understanding prospective customer business and technical requirements, communicating these requirement to the company, and participating in creating proposals, making estimates and customer schedules. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to win the prospect’s confidence while dealing with difficult objections and problems.
Skills Required:
- Extensive hands-on industry knowledge of Front Office Order Management or Execution Management Systems for Equities, Futures and/or Foreign Exchange.
- A first class communicator with experience supporting product sales or relating to high level executive management. A passionate advocate who can persuade prospects into becoming customers.
- Expertise needed to demonstrate our products Athena by himself/herself to prospective customer business and/or technical staff.
- An in depth technical background including computer programming and systems architecture skills.
- Ability to understand technical issues and suggest solutions to gain prospect's confidence,
- Knowledge of programming concepts with the ability to interface technically with programming staff.
- Understand and easily explain issues with having to do with system performance, multi-tasking, memory usage, etc.
- Excellent oral and written skills. Able to represent the company by speaking at industry conferences
