SALES ENGINEER
Location: Chicago
The Role:
We are currently seeking skilled Sales Engineers to join our growing North American operations team. As a sales engineer, you will participate in the growth of AthenaTrader, our high-performance Execution Management System. It is used by some of the world's largest financial companies for the global trading of equities, futures and foreign exchange. This is an exciting, client-facing opportunity for the right candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for any skilled sales engineer with an interest in financial technology and complex, real-time, multi-threaded environments.
Pre-Sales Responsibilities:
- Give client presentations & demos
- Install evaluations
- Perform Business Analysis
- Write up specs on enhancements
Post-Sales Responsibilities:
- Onsite client training, consulting. Work with traders on algorithm development.
- End-user documentation
- Travel (20% of the time) within North America
Skills Required:
- Java programmer with 4-6 years experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- FIX experienced preferred
- Financial industry (especially foreign exchange / equities / futures) experience preferred
- Customer interaction, therefore good speaking and presentation skills absolutely necessary
- Bright, energetic, personable
- Candidate must be very reliable, organized and thorough
- Ability to work independently
